Architecture

Buildings shaped by climate, use, and the long life of their materials.

We work from the scale of a room to the scale of a public institution, connecting spatial character to environmental performance from the first sketch. Each commission begins with a close reading of its site, brief, budget, and future patterns of occupation.

Our role can continue from feasibility and concept design through approvals, construction documentation, site review, and completion. We coordinate specialist collaborators early so structure, comfort, water, landscape, and craft become part of one architectural idea.

Typical process

  1. 01Listen

Define needs, ambitions, constraints, and measures of success.

  2. 02Read

Map climate, movement, ecology, regulation, and existing fabric.

  3. 03Form

Test spatial, structural, and environmental options through models and drawings.

  4. 04Realize

Develop the selected scheme with consultants, makers, and contractors.

Typical projects

Private homes · Small cultural buildings · Retreats and lodges · Adaptive reuse

02

Interior Architecture

Interiors where atmosphere, utility, furniture, and touch are conceived together.

Interior architecture is not applied after the building. It is the intimate register of the same project: the weight of a handle, the quiet of a bedroom, the distance between a table and a window, the temperature of a floor at dawn.

We develop plans, lighting, joinery, fixed furniture, loose furniture, finishes, and material specifications as a coherent family. Mockups and one-to-one prototypes allow clients and makers to evaluate comfort, patina, and detail before decisions are multiplied across a project.

Typical process

  1. 01Observe

Study rituals, belongings, adjacencies, and desired degrees of privacy.

  2. 02Compose

Set the sequence of rooms, views, thresholds, lighting, and storage.

  3. 03Prototype

Test key details, furniture, finishes, and tactile transitions at full scale.

  4. 04Refine

Coordinate fabrication and installation through careful site review.

Typical projects

Residential interiors · Hospitality interiors · Gallery and cultural fit-outs · Bespoke furniture

03

Landscape

Ground, water, shade, and planting treated as inhabited architecture.

Our landscape work starts with what the ground already does. We trace rainfall, soil, shade, habitat, cultivation, and local maintenance knowledge before introducing new paths, terraces, gardens, or water systems.

Architecture and landscape are developed in parallel. This lets a roof feed a pond, a courtyard temper a room, or a planted edge become both habitat and privacy. Planting palettes favor resilient regional species and legible seasonal change over ornamental abundance.

Typical process

  1. 01Survey

Record soil, water, vegetation, topography, habitat, and patterns of care.

  2. 02Steward

Protect valuable ecologies and define regenerative site strategies.

  3. 03Connect

Shape routes, thresholds, gardens, drainage, and outdoor rooms.

  4. 04Establish

Plan planting, procurement, installation, and long-term maintenance.

Typical projects

Residential gardens · Cultural landscapes · Hospitality grounds · Water-sensitive masterplans

Research & Strategy

Focused inquiry that makes difficult design choices visible and actionable.

Some projects need a question clarified before they need a building. We create concise research programs around climate resilience, material sourcing, reuse, cultural briefs, hospitality models, and the productive life of existing sites.

The output is designed to be used, not shelved. Depending on the commission, it may take the form of a spatial brief, scenario atlas, feasibility study, material protocol, environmental roadmap, or a set of prototypes that can inform future procurement and design teams.

Typical process

  1. 01Frame

Turn broad ambitions into specific questions, boundaries, and decisions.

  2. 02Gather

Combine field observation, interviews, precedent, mapping, and analysis.

  3. 03Test

Compare scenarios through drawings, models, prototypes, and performance criteria.

  4. 04Translate

Deliver a clear brief, strategy, and next actions for the client team.

Typical projects

Early feasibility · Cultural programming · Material and circularity studies · Climate adaptation strategies
